The German Park Recreation Club hosts three picnics the last Saturday in June, July, and August.
Admission gate open 4–9 p.m.; park closes at 11 p.m.
According to the website, German Park serves "the same traditional home cooked meals that were served" at the first picnic in 1938. I hope that the German cuisine developed a bit since then.
German Park is filled with fun things to see and do. But the highlight for visitors is the "authentic" German meals - the Deutsche Küche is open all night. They also serve imported German beer, domestic beer, wine, and soft drinks.
All food and beverages must be purchased using tickets purchased from our ticket house. Unused tickets may be refunded before the ticket house closes at 10:30 p.m.
$5 per person (12 and under: free).
No one under 21 permitted without parent/guardian; photo ID required.
No credit/debit cards or checks accepted; no ATM available.
Please: picnic baskets, coolers, food or beverages may not be brought into the park; the Park officials love pets too, but not at the park. Designated smoking area.
