Internship Posting - IT Analyst/Developer for Daimler Trucks North America in Redford, MI: Wednesday, September 27, 2 p.m. (Application Deadline)

The Detroit Diesel (DDC) IT department is involved in several important and exciting projects, such as assisting with launching new products. We are also involved in providing an environment of continuous improvement, such as digitalization in the plant.

* Development and maintenance of department’s entries in the corporate Intranet
* Development and maintenance of an “electronic shop floor management” system, which would include working with touchscreens and backend programming (for example SharePoint)
* Assist with the testing and deployment activities in the Windows 10 migration project
* Ensure that documentation is maintained in correct repositories for any work done
* Ensure that projects are managed in a way that is consistent with the Daimler IT Operating Model (IT OM)

* Minimum: Junior level in a Bachelors Program or higher (or have graduated within the last 12 months) required
* GPA of 3.0 or higher required
* An attached resume is required
* Pursuing a degree in Information Technology or Systems required
* Full-time availability onsite from August to January required
* Excellent customer service skills required
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills (both technical and non-technical) required
* Ability to work collaboratively required
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite tools required
* Demonstrated experience managing project teams and communicating with project teams and project sponsors required
* Experience in a SharePoint development environment highly preferred
* Working knowledge of system development and deployment lifecycles, services, and principles preferred
* Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
* German language proficiency preferred
